Public health nursing is the practice of promoting and protecting the health of populations using knowledge from nursing, social, and public health sciences. Our nurses cover the following areas:
- Annual Influenza Immunization Clinics
- Childhood Lead Poisoning Program
- kNOwLEAD: Fliers, Fact Sheets and Brochures on sources of lead and safe practices
- Immunization Audits – Each year a public health nurse will contact all day care centers and schools. The nurse will verify that the child’s vaccinations are up to date.
- NJ Child Care Immunization Requirements - A child, age 2 months through 59 months, must be up to date with immunization requirements to attend a child care center in the State of New Jersey. Click here for the current recommendations from New Jersey Department of Health.
