National Night Out

Join us on Floods Hill on Tuesday, August 6 from 6:30-10 pm for National Night Out. National Night Out is a great public safety fair where residents can learn more about various departments and organizations in town. There will be a kids zone with bounce houses, coloring stations and giveaways. Food trucks and vendors will also be on site so come hungry.

SOPD RX Dropbox

South Orange Police Department and Board of Trustees are teaming up with the Essex County Alcohol & Drug Abuse Prevention Team (ADAPT) to help everyone safely dispose of unused medications simply by dropping it a secure lock box in the recently renovated lobby of SO Police Headquarters (201 South Orange Ave) As of August 6, this service is available to residents of South Orange, Maplewood and surrounding towns. A ceremony will be held on August 6 at 12 pm at SOPD.

Adult Swim Night

Adult Swim Night at the South Orange Pool is Sunday, August 11 from 6:00-8:00 pm! All South Orange (adult) residents AND their guests are invited. Just show an ID Badge or proof of residency. Enjoy an evening of musical entertainment and dinner poolside. LIVE MUSIC 6:00-8:00 pm by contemporary Jazz duo, Ray West & Ricardo Grilli Guitar Duo.

Attend a Town Meeting

Want to get more involved in your community? Attend a meeting. You will get a first-hand look at all the ins and outs of our town and it is a great way to participate and make a difference in the town.
