Naturalization Ceremony

South Orange is excited to celebrate 30 new U.S. citizens on Wednesday, April 3rd at 10:30 am at SOPAC. The Village of South Orange, the South Orange Community Relations Committee (CRC) and SOMA Action are working collectively to make this another great event. This will be a very special day and we are very excited for our second naturalization ceremony in South Orange. Members of the public are invited to join us for this special occasion!

15th Annual Undergrad Art Exhibit

Observe the 15th Annual Undergraduate Student Art Exhibition at the Walsh Gallery on display from April 2 to May 10. All are welcome to attend the opening reception on Wednesday, April 10 from 5 - 7 pm.

Spring Cleanup

Spring Cleanup will run from April 3 through May 15th. There will be no additional pickups before or after the dates listed. Follow the guidelines below to avoid being charged with a violation of the Municipal Housing Code.
Branches: 4 inches or smaller in diameter may be placed curbside. Roots and stumps are not permitted. Smaller branches or twigs can be bundled with twine to keep them from scattering. Leaves, yard clippings, and garden rakings must be placed in brown biodegradable bags curbside. You cannot rake leaves into the street at this time of year. The Department of Public Works does not take grass clippings under any circumstances. You may contact your disposal company to arrange a pickup. They are a private company and any associated fees are not monitored by the Township.
