Every Day People: The Art of Cathleen McCoy Bristol

This is a one-person exhibition of acrylic paintings by South Orange artist Cathleen McCoy Bristol who says of her artistic practice, "The more I celebrate the differences in people, the more similarities I find." This exhibit can be viewed in the hallways of the Village Hall offices at 76 South Orange Avenue - 3rd floor from Feb 7 through March 21, 9am-4pm.

Author Presentation & Discussion of ‘BLACK New Jersey: 1664 to the Present

On Feb 7 at 7:30 PM at the Woodland- 60 Woodland Rd in Maplewood, join us for a discussion, Q&A and book signing. Professor Hodges will share highlights from his recent book, “BLACK New Jersey: 1664 to the Present” that bring to life generations of courageous men and women who fought for freedom in this state during slavery and battled racial discrimination in more recent times. This event is FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC and books will be available for purchase. Call 973-761-6116 to reserve your seat and book.
