Skate House Sessions continue
WEDNESDAY June 18 with the
Yvonnick Prene Band

Bring a blanket or a lawn chair and get ready for the sweet sounds of early summer in Meadowland Park!

We continue this new event series with the Yvonnick Prene Band, which delivers a dynamic and soulful performance, blending jazz mastery with a diverse repertoire that spans the timeless melodies of Stevie Wonder, classic jazz standards, infectious bossa nova grooves, and the raw energy of the blues.

They’ve performed at esteemed venues such as Birdland, Dizzy’s Club, and the Blue Note, as well as major festivals including the Jersey City Jazz Fest and Exit Zero Jazz Fest. This June, they are scheduled to perform at the Rochester International Jazz Festival.

Wine and beer available for purchase to those with valid ID and delicious food from the Baird Cafe. Music begins at 6:30pm and runs approximately 90 minutes. Skate House Sessions season is generously sponsored by Natalie Farrell realtor.

Enjoy an evening of live music from Valarie Adams & the Dimensions Band, powerful readings, delicious food trucks, and a spectacular fireworks display as we honor freedom, history, and community.

Summer Classes at the Baird Start June 23rd!

Food, games, art, music, movies — Star Spangled South Orange has something for everyone!

It’s time for our biggest and best new tradition on Flood’s Hill! The Meadowland Park Conservancy, along with South Orange Village, is once again bringing a star spangled extravaganza to town for every family to enjoy.

Bring your blankets and lawn chairs to cheer on the contestants in the return of the Town Hall Deli Sloppy Joe Eating Contest…enjoy dance performances from Studio 509, SOMA Dance Mob and Concepts Dance Academy, listen to the beautiful sounds of the South Orange Symphony Orchestra performing Americana favorites…and watch the classic film “A League of Their Own” on the big screen.

Plus food and ice cream trucks, games and sports from the South Mountain Y, art projects from PopBlossom Studio, a beer garden for those 21 and over and an SEFD fire truck and SORS ambulance to explore. It’s all free and it’s all for you!
