NJT Rail stoppage

Potential NJ Transit Rail Stoppage
The Village of South Orange and the South Orange Parking Authority are closely monitoring the potential NJ TRANSIT rail strike. We remain in active communication with NJ TRANSIT and will share timely updates, including alternative commuting options, as they become available. SOMA 2 Towns

Senior Property Tax Relief
SOMA 2 Towns for All Ages will be hosting a Lunch & Learn on New Jersey Property Tax Relief for Senior Homeowners and Renters 65 and Older with a presentation with the office of Assemblywoman Garnet Hall.
This event will be held on May 19 at noon at the Baird.

Inspired Minds: May 15 - Aug 17
INSPIRED MINDS: Young Artist Exhibition is a juried exhibit of art by Essex County high school students. Each year, thousands of submissions are juried by a panel of distinguished artists, photographers, museum curators, and arts advocates. The result is an exciting and eclectic body of work from the perspective of young emerging artists.
Opening reception is May 15 at 5 PM.

Volunteer Call!
Join the S.O. Environmental Commission and Green Team for volunteer workdays on May 17 and 24 from 9:30-11 AM for weeding and tending. We will meet at the pollinator/native plant garden, downhill from the Tau sculpture at the corner of Ridgewood and Mead. Hundreds of new native plant seedlings have been planted and tending is needed by our neighbors!
