MLK Jr. Luminary Lighting
Join Meadowland Park Conservancy for the annual #MLKDay luminary and illumination event on January 20 in #meadowlandparknj. In partnership with the South Orange/Maplewood Community Coalition on Race MPC is collecting cans of food to weigh down hundreds of luminaries which will fill the park. Join us at 5pm at the Skate House for a brief ceremony and then wander the park to see our spectacular video and lighting installations! Public Works Events Christmas trees will be picked up from the curb through January 31. Trees must be free of ornaments, lighting, wire, decorations, plastic wrap or tree stands. No wreaths or other holiday decorations will be collected.
