Stuff Bros- Local treasure Stuff Bros will be bringing their Jazz-Rock-Country fusion sound to Meadowland Park!

July 4th Recycling Pickup 

Due to the 4th of July holiday, South Orange’s regular Thursday (West Side) curbside recycling pickup will instead take place on Friday July 5. The regular Friday (East Side) pickup will instead take place on Saturday July 6.
It remains a Fibers week: put out your Cardboard, Paper, and Newspaper.

The Recycling Center at 300 Walton Avenue will also be closed for the holiday and will reopen on Saturday, July 6 at 8 AM

Bring your floats & friends & enjoy an evening of live music and dinner poolside!
All South Orange residents 18+ & their guests are invited (guests must purchase a guest pass) on Friday, July 12 at 5 PM.
Residents must show an ID Badge or proof of residency.

Join the Co-Lab @ SO Board

The Co-Lab at South Orange, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, acts as an incubator for small businesses by mitigating start-up costs and creating growth opportunities. Visitors will find a rotating mix of businesses offering a variety of products and services. In addition to supporting entrepreneurs, The Co-Lab at South Orange fosters a collaborative community through events, workshops, and other engaging opportunities.
We are particularly interested in candidates with substantial experience in:

  • Retail
  • Communications and Marketing
  • Creative/Artists
  • Event Planning

Members of the Board will support the work of The Co-Lab at South Orange, provide leadership and governance, and act as ambassadors to the community. Day-to-day operations and programming will be led by a Manager.

Smokey Bear Scavenger Hunt 2024

Smokey Bear Scavenger Hunt

Have you seen Smokey Bear?
In honor of his 80th birthday Smokey Bear will be making an appearance at 16 downtown locations during the month of July as part of the Smokey Bear Scavenger Hunt.  Come by the Library to pick up a Bear Paw, to get a hand in documenting all located Smokey Bear sightings, complete and return by July 31st to be entered into a raffle for big prizes!
