Welcome to the Two Towns for All Ages Weekly Digest!
Monday January 16th
Martin Luther King, JR Day
Meadowland Park
5 pm
We’re filling Meadowland Park with the largest display of MLK Day luminaries in SOMA. In partnership with the Community Coalition on Race, the park will be filled with light from the luminaries as well as special lighting installations designed by South Orange resident Cat Starmer using equipment donated by SOPAC.
Every luminary will be weighted down by canned food that will be donated to a local food pantry after the events. Bring your cans of food down to the Skate House starting at Noon on 1/16, join us at 5pm for a ceremonial lighting with local officials and then wander the park to experience the installation!
