Akua Njeri was the partner of the late Fred Hampton, chairman of the Illinois chapter of the Black Panther Party. The major motion picture, Judas and the Black Messiah, was released last year, depicting the events surrounding the assassination of Fred Hampton, leader of the Illinois Chapter of the Black Panther Party. The discussion will feature Akua Njeri, the partner of Fred Hampton, who was by his side when he was assassinated. Ms. Njeri will discuss Hampton’s life, her life of activism, and the Black Panther Party.
