Community Discussion on our Digital Video System

South Orange Village invites the community to join a discussion on the use of our digital video system as we continue our policy review – please take some time to review the FAQs posted on the SOPD web page and plan to join a virtual Village-wide discussion on this topic at 7:00 PM on July 21.
Rethinking Recycling Town Hall
Maplewood and South Orange are embarking on a planning process to reduce waste, streamline recycling and trash collection, and improve recycling and composting. We need your help to ensure that this process addresses the needs of each town’s community members. Please join us for a Virtual Town Hall meeting on July 22 at 7 PM to discuss opportunities for improving and expanding the recycling and compost collection program and making Maplewood and South Orange more sustainable.

Farmers Market

Stop by the Sloan Street parking lot every Wednesday from 2 - 7 PM, June through October to pick up your fresh fruits and vegetables, eggs, freshly baked breads, nuts, meats, pickles, olives, homemade ice cream, apple cider soul food and so much more. Public Works Events

Metal Pickup- On Tuesday, July 20, DPW will pickup metal recyclables for residents who have prescheduled and paid for this service. There is 6 item limit for this pickup.
Household Bulk Pickup- On Thursday, July 22, DPW will collect household bulk items with the exception of metal and electronics for residents who have prescheduled and paid for this service. There is 6 item limit for this pickup.
