REMINDER: PRIMARY ELECTION, JUNE 8, 2021

Our voting process has changed in Essex County! 

Instead of using our traditional voting machines, be prepared to complete a paper ballot by filling in the “bubbles” and then feeding it into a ballot reader. Poll workers will be on hand to help voters transition to this new way of casting ballots.  Polls are open 6:00 am to 8:00 pm. 
 
Both towns are providing transportation to polling locations for seniors. 
 
Transportation for Maplewood Seniors
Transportation to the polling sites is available to any Maplewood resident age 65 and over.  Service will be available from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 8^th.  To schedule a Dial-a-Ride, please call  973-763-5287, at least 24 hours in advance.  Current COVID protocols will be followed on the bus.    
 
Transportation for South Orange Seniors
South Orange is providing transportation for seniors to polling locations from the two large senior buildings in town. Hours are from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.  The transportation schedule is as follows:

• Village Apartments, 110 Vose Avenue
  Every hour, on the hour, beginning at 10:00 am until 2:00 pm
• B’nai B’rith, 219 South Orange Avenue
  Every hour, on the half hour, beginning at 10:30 am until 2:30 pm
