BROTHER OUTSIDER: THE LIFE OF BAYARD RUSTIN  - with a Q&A following the movie

When: June 28 • Time 6:30 PM

Where: Virtual screening

Five years in the making and the winner of more than 25 international awards and honors, Brother Outsider illuminates the life and work of Bayard Rustin, a visionary activist and strategist who has been called “the invisible man” and “the unknown hero” of the civil rights movement. Described as “beautifully crafted” (by the Boston Globe), “electrifying” (by MetroWeekly) and “rich in humanity” (by Africana.com), the film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, where it was nominated for the Grand Jury Award, and has reached millions of viewers worldwide.

The Q&A will be with filmmaker Bennett Singer, Bayard Rustin's partner, Walter Naegle, and activist Robt Seda-Schreiber
