SENIOR FREEZE PROGRAM

The Senior Freeze Program reimburses eligible senior citizens and disabled persons for property tax increases on their principal residence (main home). To qualify, you must meet all the eligibility requirements for each year from the base year through the application year.  You can still file for the 2021 Senior Freeze. The deadline for 2021 applications is October 31, 2022

Eligibility Requirements: 

• 65 years or older or were receiving SS disability benefits 
• Lived in NJ continuously for at least 10 years
• Taxes are current for the years submitted in application
• Your total annual income (combined if you were married or in a civil union and lived in the same home) was: 2020 - $92,969.00 or less  2021 - $94,178.00 or less

This program is administered by the State of New Jersey. Therefore, all completed applications are submitted to the state for processing. You can obtain an application by following the link provided for additional information below or contacting the tax office.
