The Primary Election on Tuesday, June 7th , 2022. The polling sites will be open from 6 AM- 8 PM.

The Clerk's Office will have a Late Night Voter Registration on May 17, 2022 from 4:30 PM-9:00PM. The last day to request a Vote by Mail Ballot  by mail for this year’s primary election is Tuesday, May 31, 2022.For those wishing to request a Mail-In Ballot in person have until 3:00 PM on Monday, June 6, 2022 by going to the Essex County Clerk's Office, Essex County Hall of Record, Room 246, 465 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard, Newark, NJ.

The Primary Election will be an in-person election. If you are unsure of your voting district, please contact the Clerk’s office.

For voters who have requested and received their Vote by Mail Ballots, the Safe and Secured Essex County Election Ballot Drop Box will be located in the Gazebo across from the South Orange Fire Station (56 Sloan St.).
