New Teen Driving GDL Outreach Materials Please see the below message from Pam Fischer, NJ Division of Highway Traffic Safety. The Division of Highway Traffic Safety, in partnership with the Motor Vehicle Commission, has developed a poster and palm card (a video PSA is in final production and will be distributed to the NJ Cable Television Association as well as posted on the Division's Web site, www.njsaferoads.com) to help educate teens, parents, driver education professionals, and the public about the pending changes to the Graduated Driver License (GDL) law which take affect on May 1.The Division will be distributing the palm cards through the NJ Police Traffic Officers Association and its county-based Community Traffic Safety Programs. Additionally, MVC will be displaying the poster in all of its agencies. However, your agency or organization may also reproduce the poster and palm card for dissemination throughout your community. Feel free to include your agency logo, if you so choose, and to disseminate it electronically and/or post it on your Web site. The key is to get the word out so that no teen holding a permit or provisional (to be called probationary on May 1) license is unaware of their responsibilities under the law.
