Burglary

A Kilburn Pl. resident reported that sometime between 11:30 am & 5:50 pm, Saturday 12-01-18, unknown(s) actors entered his residence & moved a landscaping tool from the attached garage into the kitchen It was unknown at the time if the actor(s) stole

anything else from the residence.  It appeared the actor(s) gained entry by breaking a rear window.  The Detective Bureau responded to process the scene & are investigating the incident.

Burglary

A So. Orange Ave. resident reported that sometime between 11:30 am & 12:30 pm, Tuesday 11-27-18, actor(s) unknown entered his apartment through the front door, rummaged through a closet & desk drawer & stole $300.00 in cash. There were no apparent

signs of forced entry & the resident was uncertain at the time of the report if anything else was taken.  The Detective Bureau was notified & is investigating the incident.

Criminal Mischief

A Wilden Place resident & SHU student reported that at approximately 5:00 am, Monday 11-27-18, unknown actor(s) threw at least two empty pint bottles at his off-campus residence, which smashed a window of the house, as well as a window

of a vehicle that  was parked in the driveway.  Several of the residents heard glass breaking & the sound of a car speeding away, though no further description is available.

Assist Other Agency - Warrant Arrest

SOPD officers assisted the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office in arresting Omar Alston, a 39 year old East Orange resident on an outstanding arrest warrant on Monday, 11-26-18 at 1:30 pm at a location on Valley Street. Officers arrested

Alston without incident and the Prosecutor's Office took custody of Alston.
