A So. Orange resident reported that sometime between 8:30 am & 6:50 pm, Tuesday 6-12-18, actor(s) unknown stole his black, Iron Horse brand hybrid bicycle, which he had left locked & secured to the bike rack at the So. Orange Train Station on Sloan St.

Adult Arrest - Shoplifting

Henry Rodriguez, a 55 year old Newark resident was arrested on Tuesday, 6-12-18 at approximately 4:53 pm for shoplifting. Officers responded to the Stop & Shop on Valley St. where store security had detained a subject (Rodriguez) who had attempted

to steal store merchandise.  Officers arrested Rodriguez without further incident and transported him to headquarters where he was processed accordingly.

Burglary to Auto

A Hamilton Rd resident reported that between 10:00 pm, Sunday 6-10-18 & 11:00 am, Monday 6-11-18 actor(s) unknown entered his unlocked vehicle, rummaged through the interior & stole a Lenova laptop computer. The car was parked in the driveway at the time.

Criminal Mischief

A Securitas employee, who works at Seton Hall University reported that at approximately 3:15 am, Thursday 6-7-18 an unknown actor in a black BMW sedan threw a large stone through the rear window of the vehicle he was driving (Nissan Rogue), while he was

stopped at the red light at So. Orange Ave & Riggs Pl.  The black BMW then fled the scene and headed east on So. Orange Ave.  SOPD units searched the area but could not locate the vehicle.

Burglary/Theft

A Ward Pl resident reported that sometime between 5:00 &11:00 pm, Wednesday 6-6-18, actor(s) unknown entered his residence, which he shares with several others and removed his Apple Macbook laptop & charger from his room. No other items appear

to have been taken at this time. The Detective Bureau is investigating the incident further.

Warrant Arrest

Travis Smith, a 38 year old Irvington resident was arrested on Wednesday, 6-6-18 at approximately 10:50 am for multiple warrants out of Irvington & Lyndhurst. Officers stopped a vehicle (white Chevy van) at the intersection of So. Orange Ave & So.

Theft

An employee of the Delta Gas Station on Irvington Ave. reported a theft of gasoline on Wednesday, 6-6-18 at approximately 10:00 am. The employee stated that a black male driving a navy blue vehicle had received $20.00 in gas and then sped off without

paying for it.  The vehicle was last seen heading west on Irvington Ave.  There is no further description at this time & the incident is being investigated further.

Ryan Clark-Barnett, a 20 year old Newark resident was arrested on Tuesday, 6-5-18 at approximately 10:40 am for burglary & theft. Detectives responded to East Orange Police where Clark-Barnett was being detained by on active NCIC arrest warrants out

A Kingman Rd resident reported that at approximately 11:00 pm on Monday, 6-4-18 actor(s) unknown damaged the driver's side door of her vehicle in an attempt to enter the vehicle. Due to the vehicle's alarm sounding, the actors were unable to gain entry

& they fled the scene.  Upon arrival, officers searched the area but could not locate the actors.

A business owner on W. So. Orange Ave reported that sometime between 10:30 pm, Saturday 6-2-18 & 9:00 am, Sunday 6-3-18 actor(s) unknown entered his business through a rear window & removed cash from the register as well as items from a cooler.

Detectives responded to process the scene and are investigating the incident.

Alonte Bowman, a 25 year old Irvington resident was arrested on Sunday, 6-3-18 at approximately 9:26 am for possession of CDS (marijuana). Officers observed an illegally parked & occupied vehicle on Wilden Place. The two occupants appeared to

An Alpha, NJ resident reported that he was robbed on Sunday, 6-3-18 at approximately 12:30 am while he was walking on So. Orange Ave near Scotland Rd. The victim stated that he was approached by three unknown actors who punched him & knocked him to the
